In 2020, the BPT Group stood on the edge of collapse. Hit by the brutal wave of the pandemic, the company had recorded a staggering 10 consecutive months of zero sales and zero cash flow. Teams were lost. Projects were stalled. Confidence was shaken. What was once a thriving business in the building and construction space had been brought to its knees.
But amidst this despair, a new seed of hope was planted – BNI (Business Network International).
After patiently waiting 16 months for the official launch of a BNI chapter from 2020 August to December 2021, the BPT Group officially joined in December 2021. What followed was nothing short of a turnaround story that will be remembered.

For the past 3 years, Dr. Balaji Singh has consistently stood in the Green Traffic Light Zone, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the BNI process. As a Gold Club member and a Crorepati Giver in his chapter, he embodies the very principles that BNI stands for. Beyond personal performance, he has played an active role in nurturing chapter growth, guiding new members, mentoring leaders, and helping build a chapter culture rooted in collaboration and contribution. Being at best in all provided activities , helped to reach beyond boundary BNI members a lot. Attended more than 30 trainings in last 36 months, spending more than 100 Hrs in BNI university and business builder[ CEU of 1093] helped a lot to build the confidence .

Over the next 3 years, BPT evolved from one struggling business to a thriving group of 3 companies and 7 brands, each specializing in services across the building and construction industry – from waterproofing to Paints , Architectural products and solar energy to vastu consultancy and home inspections.
Today in 2025, BPT Group has expanded beyond borders into Sri Lanka, with more countries on the radar. Every decision, every collaboration, every milestone – they all now go through the BNI ecosystem. The group has made BNI membership mandatory for all key personnel, creating a team aligned with shared values, ethics, and a network-first approach to growth.
